RCI Points is a global points-based vacation exchange system that gives you an immense range of planning choices. You can decide where and when to travel, how long to stay and how often to take a trip. Go for just one night a week or longer pick whatever accommodations you like. of course, you can also vacation at your home resort - It's all up to you.
How Does it Work?
When you purchase or convert your vacation week, it's assigned a point value, which helps simplify the exchange process. The point value depends on the supply and demand at that resort location the type of unit, season, amenities, and evaluations from members who've stayed there. Points are allotted to you at the beginning of your use year.
Here are some ways you can use your points:
Stay at any of the more than 3,700 RCI affiliated resorts in nearly 100 countriesStay only a single night or as long as you want at the hundreds of RCI Points ResortsChoose the type and size of your unitStay in a variety of resorts and enjoy different amenities each timeThe Use Year.
Your Use Year is the recurring 12 Month period on which your membership is based. Use years always start at the beginning of a month and end the last day of the previous month, 12 months later

Nightly Stays
You have the flexibility to stay at hundreds of resorts for one night, a few nights or even longer than a full week. So, if a 7-night stay is not in your plans, you can choose the length of your vacation and only need to use the necessary number of Points per night.

With Points Partners, you can use your Points for many other great travel-related products and services from airline tickets to car rentals and so much more. With so many choices, you can never have enough Points!
Save, Borrow and Transfer your Points
If you don't use up all of your Points in a given year, then you have the ability to save those Points into the next Use Year. Or, if you need some extra Points to take a special vacation now, you can always borrow from your next year's Point allotment. This helps you maximize all of your vacation options, and provides you with great flexibility.
Points for Deposit
Do you own another Vacation Week at an RCI Weeks-affiliated Resort? If so, you can combine the trading power of all your Vacation Weeks with RCI's Points for Deposit Program! Simply deposit your other ownership Week(s) into your Points account and receive Points to add to your Points Account. More Points means more choices and flexibility.

RCI Points is a points-based program that offers participants the flexibility of using points for shorter vacations, as well as travel-related products, including airfare, cruises, car rental, and hotel reservations. Many vacation clubs may also offer a points or credits based program but participate in the RCI Weeks program instead, not RCI Points.
How do I determine the RCI Points Values for my vacation week?
This information is available on your RCI Points Participation Agreement, from your resort, from rci.com or by calling an RCI Guide.
Will my Points ever go up or down?
Yes, Point Values could change. If there was a distinct quality or amenity change at your resort that impacted comment card scores over time, then the values could change. Example, if your resort built two, new outdoor Olympic-sized swimming pools, your Point Values could go up. RCI would not make any arbitrary changes.
Can my Points expire?
Yes. Once your Points are saved to the next year they will expire at the end of that Use Year into which they were saved. Points that have been saved may be borrowed back, but cannot be saved into a third Use Year.
How do I get a vacation for only 9,000 Points?
You can maximize the value of your Points when requesting a Weeks Resort Exchange 45-days or less in advance of confirming your exchange. You'll be able to confirm your vacation for the Points value equivalent to the region's lowest season (red, white or blue time) and smallest unit size, or 9,000 Points, whichever is less.
What if I don't have enough Points to make the reservation that I want?
If you don't have enough Points to make the reservation you want, you can borrow Points from your next Use Year to complete the reservation.
Free Guest Certificates
When members make an Extra Vacation or Last Call reservation online, RCI will waive the $49 fee and allow you to arrange a free Guest Certificate online.

RCI Points Glossary
AAffiliated Resort means a Home Resort or Home Group, which has a current Network Affiliation Agreement with the Network Administrator.
Affiliation Agreement means the agreement between the Network Administrator and a timeshare resort or club pursuant to which that resort or club becomes an Affiliated Resort.
Annual Dues This is the annual fee charged for participation in RCI Points. The current rate per year is $99 USD and $132 CD.
Auto-Saving Points The RCI Points program will automatically save eligible Points remaining on your account at the end of the Use Year into the subsequent Use Year.
BBiennial ownership Use of a fixed week every other year. Owners are often referred to as either "odd" or "even" year owners.
Borrowing Points The RCI Points program gives you the ability to borrow Points from the subsequent Use Year into the current Use Year.
CCheck-in Date The day/date on which your confirmed vacation begins.
Club Consumers join to obtain all aspects of their vacation needs, including travel as well as lodging for a finite term. It may or may not be tied to real estate ownership, provides the use of accommodations in multiple locations and may offer other benefits.
Comment Card We send this card to every RCI Points Member after a vacation. It's your chance to tell us about your experience at your Host Resort.
Confirmation We provide you with a written document that confirms your RCI vacation, which explains in detail the resort accommodations reserved for you.
Confirmed Exchange This is the vacation time and unit you agree to accept from RCI Weeks in exchange for Points from your membership account.
Confirmed Reservation This is the vacation time and unit you agree to accept from RCI Points in exchange for the Points from your membership account.
DDaily/Split Reservation means a Reservation of Vacation Time that is less than or greater than seven (7) nights.
Deeded Agreements Agreement to purchase timeshare, which is a lifetime ownership represented by a deed.
Deposit means the deposit or assignment into the Network Depository by a Member, pursuant to a Participation Agreement, of Vacation Time for use and Reservation by Members.

EEndless Vacation® Magazine For your pleasure, RCI's official member magazine is published bimonthly. Get the best in travel ideas and information in the pages of Endless Vacation. RCI benefits are obtained only via a subscription to the Endless Vacation magazine. Use of the term "membership" is intended to denote subscription to the Endless Vacation magazine.
Exchange Confirmation We provide you with a written document that confirms your RCI Weeks vacation, which explains in detail the resort accommodations reserved for you.
Exchange Grid Points members can use their Points to go to a Weeks resort. The Point value needed will depend on the RCI Weeks exchange grid. The number of points needed to make an RCI Weeks reservation will be based on the season, unit size and resort recognition status of the resort that is being confirmed as well as the region in which the resort is located. Once you access your Points account online and go to the area to search for a Weeks reservation, the Value Grid or Exchange Grid will be a listed option above the areas in which you indicate your search parameters.
External Exchange means the exchange of Vacation Time by a Member through the External Exchange Program, RCI Weeks.
FFixed Vacation Time means Vacation Time for which a particular Member has the exclusive right, pursuant to his/her purchase documentation, to use a specific Unit or week. Fixed Vacation Time does not include Floating Time.
Floating Time means Vacation Time for which a particular Member has a right to reserve the Vacation Time on a space available, first-come, first-served basis.
Fractional Ownership: The selling of resort real estate in intervals of more than one week and less than whole ownership.
Full Member means a person who during the relevant period has Deposited Vacation Time in the Network Depository and whose Network Participation Agreement has been accepted by the Network Administrator.
GGuest Certificate means a Certificate purchased from RCI and presented to the provider of accommodations or Partner Inventory enabling Members to share their vacation with non-member friends or family members age 21 or older.
HHome Group The group of resorts affiliated with your Home Resort in the RCI Points program.
Home Group Priority Period Reservation window within RCI Points where you may reserve a unit within your Home Group of resorts without competition from individuals that own outside your Home Group. You may make this type of reservation between 304 and 334 days (approximately 10 and 11 months) before your check-in day.
Home Resort The resort from which you obtain Points to use in the RCI Points program.
Home Resort Priority Period This is the reservation window within RCI Points where you may reserve a unit at your Home Resort between 335 and 365 days (approximately 11 and 12 months) before your check-in day.
Home Week Priority Period This is the reservation window within RCI Points where you may reserve the specific week and unit that you own at your Home Resort without competition from other RCI Points Members. You may make this type of reservation between 366 and 396 days (approximately 12 and 13 months) before your check-in day. This priority period is for owners of Fixed Time.
Housekeeping Fees charged by resorts for reservations not starting on a designated check-in day, or for reservations that are less than 7 nights.
PPoints A symbolic measurement related to a timeshare ownership that is used to establish value for seasons, unit sizes, and resort locations. Points are used by developers for both internal and external exchange.
Points for Deposit Points members who also own at Weeks resorts can choose to receive points for their Weeks deposits via the Points for Deposit program, (for non-commercial use only) even if that resort is not participating in Points. The Weeks ownership is not actually being "converted"; however, those deposits can be converted to additional points. The member decides which weeks to convert and which to leave in Weeks, one deposit at a time. If the member chooses to take the points, that deposit is moved to Points inventory and instead of confirming an "exchange", the member will reserve Points resorts or Points Partner services. RCI Weeks Membership RCI Weeks is the traditional week-for-week timeshare exchange program.
Renting Points RCI Points members can rent additional points to complete a reservation. Point rentals are currently $.02 per point. Members may currently rent up to 50% of their current Use Year point allotment to complete a reservation. Rented RCI Points may only be used in the current Use Year and cannot be saved or transferred. Rental of RCI Points is on a first-come, first-served basis, if available. Rented Points must be used in the year rented and do not establish or provide for any recurring use.
Reservation Calculator The online tool that allows Points members to determine how many points are required for a Home Resort, Home Group, Standard, or RCI Weeks reservation.
Right-to-Use Agreement A timeshare owner's right to occupy a unit at a resort for a specified number of years.
SSaving Points When you move Points from the current Use Year to the next Use Year. Points previously saved from one Use Year to the next may not be saved into a third Use Year.
Seasonal Designations The seasonal periods within RCI Weeks into which deposited vacation time is divided, based upon demand. Red Time = higher demand, White Time = medium demand, Blue Time = lower demand.
Standard Reservation Period The reservation window of one day to 303 days (approximately 10 months) before your check-in day when you may make a reservation at any available RCI Points Resort.
TTransferring Points The RCI Points program currently allows you to transfer your Points to another RCI Points Member.
Travel Dates The beginning and ending dates of a vacation.
UUse Year The annually recurring 12-month period during which you must use Points from your RCI Points Membership. Points that remain unused at the end of the Use Year are auto-saved unless they have previously been saved. Points are made available to the member at the beginning of a Use Year and are valid for one year.
